In the process of gluing the protective film, the glue water has good levelness and is evenly smeared. The product has a delicate and transparent appearance. But other reasons may also cause a variety of ills, these phenomena are mostly related to surface tension, the following will be common abnormal phenomena and the reasons for the occurrence of a summary.
Orange peel phenomenon:
The phenomenon of tangerine peel means that the surface of the coating is slightly undulated and shaped like orange peel. There are many reasons for the formation of orange peel, such as uneven dispersion, poor solvent coordination, poor atomization, etc. can cause orange peel. When some droplets in the adhesive layer are not dispersed uniformly with high concentration, and the surface tension is high, the surrounding glue spreads automatically to the droplets, thus forming a protrusion. The phenomenon of orange peel is also related to the so-called Bernal vortex nest.
Shrinkage phenomenon:
If a drop of liquid with low surface tension falls on the wet coating, such as a solvents or dirt (such as oil) dripped after coagulation in the oven, it can reduce the surface tension of the nearby coating and spread to the higher surface tension, thus forming a crater phenomenon. This phenomenon is called shrinkage.
